Features The launch of the Falcon Series heralds the arrival of a new generation of hedge & verge mowers that offer unrivalled levels of features and benefits for today's professional user. The 5m &5.5m reach machines are available with a Parallel arm option whilst a 1.5m forward arm option is offered on Non Parallel machines. The streamlined mainframe has full road lighting enclosed in a steel bumper bar - no flimsy plastic here - and offers 90° power slew, all pivot points are fully bushed and a lockable steel cover encloses the hydraulic system to prevent damage. Twin hydraulic pumps, mounted to a cast iron gearbox, provide 65hp at the cutting head and the system is fed from a 250L tank. To improve stability and reduce the shock loading imposed on tractor linkage by high-speed travel on today’s 40kph tractors Bomford engineers have smoothed the ride by incorporating twin rubber cushions in the top link bracket. Low friction cables are fitted as standard but for the ultimate in control and operator comfort a Digital Control (DCU) option is available Machines in the Falcon Series are supplied with the all new ‘Pro-Cut’ flail featuring a double helix rotor shaft with 32 flail stations fitted with a choice of 40mm or 60mm flails. Because it has 32 stations instead of the normal 24, fitting the the ‘Pro-Cut’ with 60mm flails produces a massive 80% overlap. This shaft configuration ensures smoother running and produces a much cleaner finish. The new high tensile steel cowling is shaped to increase performance in both quality and output and an adjustable front hood ensures safe operation whilst cutting grass or scrub.
